Empowering and engaging youth to make a positive impact

My commitment to making the world a better place, I had the opportunity to contribute to the vision of empowering young people to have a voice and have a chance to make change in their lives. I volunteered at Oaktree, a not-for-profit foundation that develops youth empowerment and education projects and programs both internationally and domestically. This foundation is a youth-led organisation, where I got to work alongside with the most brilliant inspiring people, supporting one another to create something meaningful.

Working collaboratively within the communications team, I was responsible to execute the visual and graphic messaging on their digital profiles. Adhering consistently with Oaktree’s youthful branding; to create designs across social media, online event visuals, email and newsletter graphics, to print material needed for their events, multiple campaigns and programs.

Chip Your Payslip was Oaktree’s Christmas campaign to celebrate 12 days of impact with Oaktree’s wins. I had the opportunity to design the logo and facilitate the visual planning of the social media content.

Live Below the Line

Oaktree’s biggest annual fundraiser, we successfully raised $200,000 in the year of 2019. A challenge to live on $2 for five days and raise funds for our international development programs. My work was involved in the promotion and digital advertising of the campaign.

Cafes for Change

Oaktree’s short-term fundraising campaign held during Anti-Poverty Week, Cafes for Change presents a fresh and fluid look to the Oaktree brand. Youthy, positive and a modern rustic style. It’s as cozy as it can get.
